Reynen, please dont remove the RH BS! I have a proposal regarding how you could balance it:
Why not just reduce the # of repair batts/bots it can hold? thus, a Rheinland Battleship player can dish it out and can take it too, but anything they DO take, means expensive and time consuming trips to repair at the nearest base.
even though, say, if an enemy destroys me I still could have done, prior to death, enuff dmg to cost em a long trip back to a base and a lot of money in repairs. I'd get the last laugh, ESPECIALLY if they commit suicide cuz they dont want to pay for repair expenses! MUhaAhhhhahahahaha!
Nothing more annoying than thinking ur about 2 toast a RH Battleship FINALLY, and then the other player uses nanos/batts last minute and ur weaker ship doesn't have enough of them to do anything about it.
perhaps you could make it so that the faster and weaker Battleships get MORE nanobots and batteries, and the slower and stronger Battleships get LESS! My proposed philosophy is that weaker ships can recover faster than bigger ones. Or rather, the bigger they are, the harder they fall (and the longer it takes for them to get back up with their nanos!)
This would be consistent with the good'ol FL house ship scheme:
- Liberty Navy puts emphasis on DEFENSE (ex: few rogues at manhattan)
- Kusari Navy puts emphasis on SPEED (ex: the Drake)
- The Order puts emphasis on STEALTH (ex: the Osiris & its cloak technology)***
- Rheinland Military puts emphasis on BRUTE STRENGTH (ex: the Valkyrie)
...I've noticed that making battleships slower doesnt seem to be enough of a counterbalance for making them stronger.
do _you_ think this idea could work?
