Side-Effects of Combining Mods

Okay, I've recently been playing around with multiple mods at once. I had the battleship encounter mod, credits options mod, ghost docking ring mod, openSPv1 and void mod enabled. Now, most of those mods were pretty simple and were compatible with each other, but the void mod conflicted with the battleship encounter mod. I decided to try it anyway, and it appeared to work. Liberty battleships and cruisers were flying around in formation, I could buy a cruiser of my own, etc. When I got into Bretonia, however, there were no capital ships drifting around the way they should have been. (I checked the .ini files to make sure.)

Is this a compatibility problem, where only certain ships appear in Liberty, or is it a mod problem with a patch to fix it? Thanks.

Okay, if anyone else has questions regarding compatibility problems, maybe we could help each other out.
