1400 by 1050 resolution

Is it possible to run this game in 1400 by 1050 resolution? I know this is not one of the ones listed in game. But with many other games, you can still edit a config file and run in any resolution you want. Is there such a thing for Freelancer? Reason I ask is because I am on a laptop, and its native reslolution is 1400 by 1050 and everything looks best at that resolution. Thanks.

Well, in your My Documents\(username)\My Games\Freelancer directory, you can always edit PerfOptions.INI and change the resolution values (should be located at the bottom of the file) and then fire it up.

Of course, you'd want to either remember the original settings or make a backup copy, just in case.

I've done this before, and the reason FL only has selected resolutions in it's ingame config menu is because anything else gives you spaces above and below the in-flight menus and buttons. But it should work otherwise - I manually edited it to display 1280x1024 instead of 1280x960 and apart from the menu/buttons issue, it worked fine.
