Crashing Problem with Radeon 9600XT
So, I got this weird problem with my new "Connect3D Radeon 9600XT 128MB, VGA+TV-Out+DVI-I, AGP 8x/4x" graphics card. My computer reboots almost every time (about 80-90% of cases) when I come out from Hyperspace. When Freelancer should load the next system, e.g. when I am jumping from New London to Leeds it should load Leeds system, the computer reboots itself.
I didn't have this problem with my "Inno3D GeForce 4 MX440 64MB, TV-Out, AGP 4x" card so I think the problem depends on Freelancer because it doesn't recognize my 9600XT. I am using 3.9 (the newest) version of catalyst drivers. The problem can't be with my processor (AMD Athlon XP 1800+ @ 1441MHz with palomino core) because it worked well with that GF4MX440 and temperature is normal.
I used "Catalyst 3.9 Call of Duty fix drivers" when I noticed the problem and I changed to these normal 3.9 drivers what I am using at the moment and updated VIA Hyperion 4in1 chipset drivers to 4.51 but these driver changes didn't correct anything. I have also tried to fix the problem through graphics card by lowering the AGP speed from 8x to 4x but it didn't work. Reinstalling Freelancer didn't fix the problem.
The problem has appeared this far only in Freelancer single- and multiplayer and other games work just fine with 9600XT.
