Hi,

I've been having this problem for a long time now, and unfortunately, few people have had the same problem - making it rather difficult to solve!

Essentially, when I connect to a Freelancer server (be it my own, on a LAN or internet) I can stay in it fine when I am on Manhatten, but as soon as I launch into space, I get dropped after about 1 minute of the flashing red computer icon. I'm no network guru, but this seems rather ambiguous to me. Why would it have trouble keeping me in when in space, but not on Manhatten?! My friend on the same LAN does not have this trouble, he can even connect to a server running on my PC fine, and not get dropped.

For the record my specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon XP 2000+
Soyo SY-KT400 Dragon Ultra Platinum Motherboard
1024Mb Crucial RAM (2x512Mb DIMMs)
Creative Labs 3D Blaster GeForce 3 Ti200

I've got onboard LAN and sound if that helps. That seems to be a recurrent theme among us who have this problem. I've got the latest drivers for everything...! D'oh! If anyone has this problem, please contact me, even if you haven't solved it. I'm sure we can try and isolate any similarities between us!
