@arcon....if youre not willing to take resposibility for you actions...then you better make sure you sex partners are on the pill or get neutered or something...

If I get pregnant while I'm still a teen, what I would do with the baby would be completely circumstantial. If I loved the baby's father and he loved me...I would marry him, and try to have a happy 2 parent family. If say, I did it with a **** and got pregnant, I would probably have the baby, and put it up for adoption, so at least it has the chance of growing up in a good, stable 2 parent home. As you can probably tell, I think it is very important for a child to grow up with 2 parents. I would never have an abortion. I think that’s wrong. Well, that’s what I would do..

Interesting topic! I have to admit I didn't read the above replies (Lazy is my middle name) but here's my opinion.
When the girl (or woman) is pregnant becuase we had a "one night stand" I would just pay for allowance. But I would stay in good contact with the girl/woman and OUR child.
When you're forced to get married, then the marriage is doomed to fail. It's easy as pie!
But this won't happen to me because I never have se.... I mean, always have safe sex

IMO, if you aren't mentally or financially prepared enough to have a child, you aren't mentally or financially prepared enough to put yourself at risk of having one. If things don't work out between the couple, I guess it should be put up for adoption, so at least it has a chance of a normal life later on. I don't think "having two parents" is a good enough reason for both of them to be hateful to each other and resentful torwards the child. I'm not certain there is a "right thing to do" in this type of situation.
what? thats crap freight, dont have sex, well lets see how the human race lasts with that pearl of advice.
no i'm waving the flag for abortion. KILL EM ALL! yeah baby, i mean 9 months and then your gonna get rid of it? and then spend the rest of your life umming and arring going "ooh i wonder how my child is getting on" and your life from then on goes down the sh**ter, plus you look all saggy and never get your figure back, your INSTANTLY weary of all men forever, your mum/dad will murder any future boyfriends. i'm telling you abortion is so much better, and after your done, you can go and watch an eddie murphy movie or something. jobs a gudden!

If you are absolutely certain that you cannot provide normal life to a child in any way, for any reason, then it is ok (again, as a last resort) to have an abortion. I mean, why let the child that wasn't meant to be suffer living a crappy life... It's as bad as an abortion, maybe even worse, if you ask me.
Careful what you wish... You might just get it.

Pppychow,
Are you saying it's ok for women to be pro choice, but for men, it's horrible?
About the morality of abortion:
I'm sure everyone here would agree that sometime between conception and birth a human being is formed. Where exactly that line lies is open for debate. Personally i figure it's at brain activity for several reasons i'll go into if anyone asks. If you take action to prevent or remove the pregnancy before that line is crossed, since it isn't yet human, there's no "life" issue. After that line is crossed, you are dealing with a human being, but under certain conditions it is still acceptable to kill human beings. We do it all the time. For self defense, war, as punishment, to protect property, to protect health, to releave suffering (becoming more common, if not totally accepted at least). So there are still valid reasons for abortion after the "life" line has been crossed. The trouble is accurately judging those reasons. IMO.

personally i believe life bagins when the individual is self aware, until then its about as alive as a half life bot (half life 2 anyway).
And so what if a lifes a life, i mean come on, if you had a tapeworm in your gut you'd want that bastard outa there ... right?
does anyone else think there are FAR too many kids out there, i mean parents having three kids is kinda average, so eventually wont we like, run out of resources? if you think bacteria splits in two, were now splitting into three, were multiplying at an exponential rate here boys and girls, its simple maths. we should limit one kid per family for 10 years, an experiment to see how things change, if it works, maybe a culling of all the children who are not the firstborn.
ok maybe thats a bit far but still, too many people, not enough space, jobs or natural resources.

Too many kids? No... Too many old people who cannot support themselves? Oh my yes...
Back on topic I'd wouldn't marry a girl just for the childs sake. It's the wrong thing to do, believe me. My parents got married because "they got pregnant" with me, and for th first 6 years of my life I don't have a single happy memory.
With regards to abortion I'm all for that as an option, but only for extreme circumstances: Rape, danger of life to mother or baby etc...
If it wasn't for the inky blackness of the night you wouldn't appreciate the brilliance of the stars... or the little Liberty Rogue ship exploding nicely alongside you.
